The Aqua Grill
“Those who live in the shadow of the canal bridges are lucky to have such a fine restaurant in the neighborhood, and for the rest of us, it's well worth the drive”
- The Standard Times

The restaurant offers quality dining with a global flair at moderate prices in a casual atmosphere. Aqua Grille features Cape Cod favorites such as native fish and lobster, as well as a wide variety of other fares.

Veteran Cape Cod restauranteurs, the Zartarian family and German chef Gert Rausch own the restaurant. John Zartarian, Jr. manages the daily workings. The Zartarians bring knowledge of the local market gained from 33 years of ownership and operation of the highly successful Paddock Restaurant in Hyannis. Gert adds 28 years of culinary expertise gleaned from the diverse cultures in which he was trained and worked. His cooking is influenced by the leading cuisines of Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Asia, Thailand and the Caribbean. This translates into much of the traditional items you would expect to find on a Cape Cod menu, enhanced by some unusual offerings.

Bobby Byrne's Pub
Bobby Byrne's Pub, an eating drinking and talking establishment, proposes to make the ordinary extraordinary by expressing the pub in terms of art. Our method and indeed our madness is using language and artifact to reveal the pub's soul. To quote Seamus Heaney form his Nobel Lecture in 1995, we want to make use of "the energy released by linguistic fission and fusion," and we want to tap "the power that reminds us we are hunters and gatherers of value."

By celebrating language and artifact we pray that our "pubsong" sings of the many thoughts and feelings that humans experience. We hope our display of language and artifact evokes a response in you...that has its own plot and theme, its own structure, style, image, logo, rhythm and rhyme.

We are more than we are; the pub is more than it is. We and it are at once surface and symbol. For example, our logo, which is dominated by the Celtic Knot, is insinuated not only into our decor and menu and onto our walls, but also onto the walls of our imagination. It can speak to us of mystery, of beginning and end, of what is now and of what is to be.
Its meaning is amplified by sensibility and articulated by metaphor and symbol. Like poetry we touch upon the coherent and the unknowable at the same time.

Thus the Pub is about more than food and drink. We want to give you magic and metaphysics with your meat and malt. We hope that we nourish your spirit and enable you to experience not only another great place but also a great good thought.

The Dunbar Tea Shop
Since we first opened in 1991 the Dunbar Tea Shop has been featured in many guides, newspapers and magazines from around the world, including The Boston Globe, The Cape Cod Times, The Washington Post, Yankee Magazine, National Geographic Traveler Magazine, Figaro(Japan), Cape Cod Life, Travel Magazine, Fodor’s, Frommer’s, Mobil, Access Guide, Insight Guide, Explorer’s Guide &Lonely Planet Guide to New England. The Dunbar Tea Shop has successfully blended the best of old England with the best of New England.

The building itself is the old Carriage House to the main house (circa 1740) and the tea room sits in an old wood paneled billiard and gentlemen’s smoking room. Now it is home to the clinking of tea cups rather than billiard balls and the aromas of baking pies, cakes, shortbreads and scones rather than pipe smoke. The tea room has a fireplace that we stoke up for the winter, and in the summer we seat customers in our patio and shady tea garden.

The Tea Shop has become an unique institution and an integral part of a trip to Sandwich. We have developed a great reputation over the years for our homemade goods, our selection of quality teas and our innovative menu. We also have a fine selection of British ales and European wines, ports and sherries.

We stay open year round. The tea room hours are from:

11am to 4.30pm in winter & spring
8am to 6.00pm in summer & autumn.

Seafood Sams
It was the summer of 1974 when "Sam's Seafood" first opened their doors to a restaurant so small there was no seating, only take out. With a staff of six they began a journey taking them over a span of twenty-five years. With four of the original employees now owners in successful cooperation of four restaurants on Cape Cod, now called "Seafood Sam's", there is still room to grow and continually be discovered for what they are, very proudly, a place with simply the best seafood available, with fast service and reasonable prices. As the years have gone by their menu has grown with them to include chicken, hot dogs, pasta and veggies to name a few, as well as their fried or broiled seafood.

For a truly delicious sample of what cape cod has to offer, a visit to Seafood Sam's should be included in every itinerary. You will be forever reminded of Seafood Sam’s whenever you experience a gentle ocean breeze, the call of seagulls or the surf of a lovely beach.
